Description
Break Bulk Container,called BB container (ONE OR MORE FLAT RACKS AS BED) is a special transportation method between OOG and bulk container.
When the heavy and over-dimensions cargo are placed in a single frame container while the lifting point was blocked out or the presence of goods out of port lifting height limit, over-weight more than the maximum load of a single OOG container, we will take this method.
For example, if the cargos is more than 4.5m wideth and 11.8m length and the weight exceeds the maximum load of a single OOG or a frame container, so generally the hanging cost will be very expensive. However, Sohologistics prefers to using BBK ,so it’s very often to use a number of flat boxes combined into a large "pallet" and these kind of super large tied on this "pallet".
Detailed BBK operation process is:
Firstly, send an empty flat container to the dock. Next, arrange to deliver after shipping terminal control informed and then directly send to wharf crane (near the vessels). And after all general cargo containers ready on the board, hoisting cranes begin to lift all the empty flat containers onto the board and make these containers paving and finally put the cargo lifting to the big paving pallets. These kind of cargos are usually placed on the topmost deck and no more containers can be added on it.
